Submitting Materials to Us:
How Much Can Go
on a Page?
There is no actual limit as to what can be
contained on a web page. It is normal for a
visitor to scroll a page that exceeds the viewable
area of their screen. However download time on a
page should be limited to 15 seconds or less.
Print Layouts:
The web has constraints that make it near impossible
to recreate an exact print layout through the
use of HTML. Our designer will do their absolute
best to re-create & keep with the continuity of
any printed material you may have, but please be aware
that the web does not allow the exact duplication of
your printed material. If this is a
concern please note this on your materials & a
designer will contact you to discuss the possible
options.
Colors:
Colors appear differently on the web. If
exact colors are important to the design of your site
please visit the link provided & note the color
names & mark accordingly on your material.

Submitting
Photos, Logos, and other Art Work:
We must have either Original photos or
artwork, or Other media such as color brochures or
catalogue pages which we can scan, or Media already
scanned and of a quality which will look all right on
the web. Please be aware that the cleaner the
image we receive the cleaner it will appear on your
site. We do not re-touch, color enhance
or otherwise modify graphics in any other way without
additional charges being applied. Images can be
reduced in size but not enlarged due to the nature of
photographs, graphics etc.
Digital Images
from Digital Cameras:
The size of the artwork should be equal in
size or larger than you wish them to appear on the
web. Do not expect us to get a good logo from a
business card!
Either originals or good quality copies should be
furnished if at all possible. If we receive faxed or
unclear Xerox copies of artwork there will be a
cleanup fee, if we are able to restore them to
displayable quality!
If you are Emailing us graphics which you want used on
the web please send them as .jpg files instead
of bitmap files so they do are not so large. No photos
or other graphics files can appear on the web larger
than 100K (when we finish they are usually under 30K)
except under exceptional circumstances. They take too
long to load and your visitors will leave before they
see them!
If you send us electronic graphics files they should
be named by item mentioned in the accompanying text
(e.g. tire1.jpg) and referenced accordingly on your
"Web Input Form", or an additional read me
file or document should be included which tells which
graphic file belongs to what name or item in any
accompanying text and what page it goes in.
Any materials not meeting these
conditions will require special processing and my
result in additional fees.
Submitting TEXT:
1. Text should be typed and proofread for grammar,
spelling, and accuracy. We are not as
knowledgeable to the terms used within your
business/industry. Be sure to proof all copy

files.
2. It should be saved as an MSWord file if possible,
if not we can take RTF files, Word Perfect Files, HTML

sure you include the graphics referenced in the file
separately.
3. Text should be in English. If you desire any other
languages text must be proofed by you for accuracy
spelling, etc. and you must furnish us a disk with the
complete accurate text with all accent marks, etc. If
you wish for additional charges we can hire Language

non-English text for you.
4. You should have one file for each page. The file

You should consider having the home page, the
company profile page, the staff page, the contact us
page, and a total of two products/services pages. If
you wish you may substitute an additional product or
service page for the staff page. If your company has
an existing flyer or brochure you can use that to
furnish much of the material for your web site. You
may also go to our Web Design Page, and the connected
pages, for examples of different types of Graphics and
other supplements to your web.
1. The Home Page: This is the place people usually see
first, and it acts as a greeting place and a brief
source of information as to what the page is about.
Its main function is to look nice, be professional
(for business sites), tell people briefly what the
site is for, and to lead people to the other parts of
your web site. Think of it as the front of your
building or the window in a storefront. If the home
page is too klutzy, glitzy, or slow to load people
will not come in to see the rest of your web. The Home
Page should have a company logo, possibly one small
photo or graphic, the name of your company, and a
motto or brief description of the purpose of your
company or the web site. The size of the home page
should be about 600 pixels by 400 pixels, so it will
all fit in a window in the browser on a typical PC. In
other words it should be about the same size as the
top half of a regular 8.5 inch by 11-inch sheet of
paper. It should also have the names and hyperlinks to
the other important pages or sections of your web
site. Do not try to put company products, etc. here.
You may add a simple small animation, but keep things
brief and to the point!
2. About Us/Profile: This page describes the company
and it's talents and benefits. In other words, why
should someone use your company or your goods or
services? This should be 400 words or less about the
company and its services. You can include one or more
photos or other graphics here.
3. STAFF: This page should say something about the
owners or the staff of your company, maybe some
history and background of the principals of the
company and or other important people.
4. CONTACT US: This page contains your company mailing
address, telephone numbers email addresses and a form,
which the customer can complete and have emailed to
you. This can be a good source of leads for sales or
other matters. This should be brief but get the basic
contact data.
5. PRODUCTS/SERVICES: You choose for your company
whether you want products pages, services pages or
both. If you have many products or services you need a
main page where you describe all the types of services
and/or products you offer. From this page you can link
to other pages of details about a specific type of
product or service you offer. If you have a limited
inventory or something special you want to advertise
on the Web you can include photos and descriptions in
this and any other products/services pages.
6. Additional Products/Services Page This page can be
additional products or services as above.
